Eyeliner is a makeup that we all like to be beautiful. It is highly feminine, Eyeliner creates a magnetic and glamorous look, but you still have to know how to apply it. Overflows, tremors, blocks, and eyeliner application can quickly become headaches. To avoid cold sweats and other inconveniences, Cosmo gives you all the tips for applying your Eyeliner.

Apply your Eyeliner, instructions for use

  1. To start, sit down. Next, arrange to stretch the skin of your eyelid. It’s even easier if you can rest your elbows on a flat surface. Then, either you lower your eyes and raise your head a little, or hold your head straight and raise your eyebrows.
  2. In both cases, try to keep your eye open. It will be easier to follow the eyelid curve and draw a straight line!
  3. Objective: draw a line as close as possible to the root of the eyelashes. For this, start from the inner corner of the eye towards the middle. Pause, if needed, then repeat to the outer corner of the eye.
  4. Finally, open the eye well and apply it on the outer part so that the line follows the standard curve of the eye. You were finishing your line to correct a sad gaze by raising it slightly upwards.
  5. Don’t forget to wait a few seconds before lifting your eye for optimal drying. In case of small failures, do not panic. Instead, take a cotton swab, wet it or soak it with makeup remover, stretch your eyelid and remove the excess with the cotton swab.

What is line width?

We tend to say that thick lines harden the look while thin lines intensify and enlarge your eye. But it is above all a question of taste and face! So first, draw a light bar with a well-sharpened kohl pencil if you are not skilled. Then all you have to do is go over it with your liquid or cream.

In order, apply eye shadow, Eyeliner and mascara. It is mandatory when applying false eyelashes. For small eyes, apply it to enlarge your look or intensify it. For a smoky look, use a line of black pencil along the lower lashes.

We dare glitter or coloured Eyeliner for evening or party makeup.

Choosing the right eyeliner formula

Makeup brands offer you different formulas allowing you to choose the one that suits you best. For example, pencil felt or brush , cream or liquid, each has its method. The liquid brush is the ultimate Eyeliner. It allows a delicate and precise line, and you can count on a long hold. The only problem: its application must be mastered.

It is easier to apply felt, or pen is more popular with novices, but it offers a less precise line than brush. The cream eyeliner is used with an angled brush. The latter allows a more elaborate and thicker line. The texture of pot is thicker, similar to moistened powder. Finally, pencil is often the most common. Easy to apply, the pencil offers a flexible outline even if it is less precise.

Eye makeup – Apply a felt-tip or pen eyeliner

The felt or pen eyeliner is a good compromise between the liquid and the pencil. As flexible as a pencil, it contains the same liquid as the liquid. It has a good hold and allows some fantasies. Novices will therefore prefer the felt Eyeliner.
